Rachel K Youth Day Cream review

For those who don't know, Rachel K is a homegrown cosmetics and skincare company by Miss Universe Rachel Kum. Her products are currently on sale at most Watsons outlets. I have tried the famous CC cream, and it's not bad. Review coming along soon. But this post is dedicated to the Youth Day Cream, which contains something called PhytoCellTec which is a Swiss apple stem cell extract. The apple stem cells penetrate deep into the skin and allows your skin to renew itself. I received a sample of this cream, and I tried it out over several days. Unfortunately, I was not impressed by this. It's an oily product, and made my face very oily. Worse still, I did not think that it absorbs into my skin, so for the rest of the day I could literally feel a layer of this cream on my skin. Most day creams are very absorbent unlike the heavier night creams, but I felt that this product was not absorbent at all. The only good thing I can probably say about this is that it is ligh...

NuTeen Acne and Pimples Away Sleeping Mask review

Usually the sleeping masks I know are for moisturizing or oil control. But this sleeping mask targets acne and pimples, and is applied just before you go to bed. I like NuTeen's Oil Away Cool Cleanser so I got suckered into buying this when I was in Watsons. I read quite a lot of good reviews on this product, and the packaging looked really good too, it just called out to me! It comes in a light-weight plastic tub with a screw-on top lid. It has a green top and white bottom, similar to the type of designs of the other products from NuTeen. Inside it is a light green gel that you have to scoop out with your fingers or a spatula. It is meant to be put on after your night moisturizer. It has a very light consistency, and has a cooling feeling. When you wake up the next day, you can wash your face to rinse off the mask. It contains salicylic acid to fight the acne-causing bacteria, and works to prevent and cure acne. However, I'm not exactly very impressed with this. It does ...

Lush Cupcake Mask review

So Lush has finally opened an outlet in Singapore (Wisma Atria) and I went to take a look. Since I'd never been to Lush before, it wasn't long before I got completely lost. There are way too many different types of bath bombs and soaps to look and smell especially when it's your first time! But the salesgirl caught my eye and helpfully introduced all of their products. Most of the salesgirls are more than willing to help, so don't be nervous to approach them (try not to get caught up in their enthusiasm and end up spending more than you expected). I ended up with the Lush cupcake mask, meant for oily teenage skin. I may not be a teenager anymore, but I certainly suffer from oily skin with the occasional breakouts. A fresh batch is made every week, so it is recommended to be used within 3 weeks to maintain it's freshness (I must admit, it's been a couple of months and I haven't finished it, but it still works fine). I read great reviews on the Cupcake mask...
