After writing about my Lush reviews, I feel the lemmings for Lush rise again. What I hate is that it is very expensive to purchase from the retail store in Singapore, as they have jacked up the prices. I would probably have to wait till I am overseas to be able to haul a large lot of Lush products. But till then, I'd love to share my lemmings for particular items that I'm excited to try (and perhaps entice you to go out and buy them as well?).
Porridge Soap
The perennial favorite along with Honey I Washed The Kids. This is possibly one of the most popular soaps that have been discussed. Personally, I don't understand the hype of Honey I Washed The Kids because I've smelt it many times but still don't really like it, but I adore the smell of Porridge. The fact that it has exfoliating oats to smoothen the skin also makes it very enticing. I have heard from those who have tried it that the oats are very messy though, as they are quite large.
Rockstar Soap
Every time I see this, Nickelback's Rockstar starts playing in my head. This pink (what an unexpected Rockstar colour) soap has a vanilla and bubblegum smell, and I was actually debating between getting this or The Godmother. You might think that bubblegum sounds like it's too artificially sweet, but I assure you that it has a great balance of vanilla as well, so it doesn't smell too sickeningly sweet.
The Comforter Bubble Bar
After watching Elle Fowler (YouTube beauty vlogger allthatglitters21, you can view her channel here) rave about this bubble bar in her hauls, I've been tempted to get my hands on this. The blackcurrant is a delightfully different calming scent to the usual lavender scents in the market.
Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds Bubble Bar
As the name suggests, this is a pretty blue and white bar. I like the smell of patchouli, so this proves to be an intriguing bar that promises to make a relaxing bubble bath. I've heard that other people have split this into a few pieces, to use them in more than one bath.
Rose Jam Bubble Bar
One of the sales assistants was showing passersby how this was made outside the shop, and he let me take a whiff. I love rose scents, so this was definitely a scent I liked immediately, since it contains rose oil. There are two halves which are joined together, so it's called a 'bubbleroon' because it looks like a macaroon. They look like pink rocks stacked together, but they're pretty soft.
Sex Bomb Bath Bomb
Great name! It's so hilarious I couldn't stop laughing when I first heard it. The song automatically plays in my mind the moment I think of it. I like the smell of jasmine, so I fell in love with it when I first sniffed it. It's got some 'surprises' that won't be dissolved, according to the website, so be warned. I wonder what they are. More flowers?
Glorious Mud Mask
To be used all over the skin, the Glorious Mud mask promises to smoothen and moisturize the skin. Sounds like a spa treatment to me, but i would use it for a deep thorough cleansing, maybe once a week? Users have commented that it gets very messy, so it's probably best to use it in the shower I think. But it sounds like an interesting idea at any rate, I'd be interested to see how it works.
Shimmy Shimmy Massage Bar
A moisturizing body bar that also rubs glitter on your body, it comes in a bar instead of the usual body lotions. Aren't they so cute, in those heart-shaped bars? I would recommend buying a tin or getting a container to store this. I like the glitters, but I feel that it has a sticky feeling while I tried it in the shop. I prefer body lotions that don't leave any sticky feelings because it makes me feel that they've absorbed completely in my skin. So, perhaps I'll try it again and see if I'll get it.
Dusting Powder
Their dusting powders sound so amazing! I can't decide between Vanilla Puff Powder (vanilla), Bare Naked Lady (rose) and Lustre (jasmine). I love all those scents, and the idea of dusting glitter on your body after a shower sounds really luxurious. I don't normally put powder after a shower, but I just might thanks to this.
Jumping Juniper Solid Shampoo
I still don't quite understand the concept of a solid shampoo till I've tried it, but this looks very interesting. And it would probably be very convenient to bring around, like to a gym or an overnight stay. The Jumping Juniper solid shampoo promises to combat oily issues, since it's meant for oily scalps. That's great cause I suffer from an oily scalp but dry hair, which is a tricky combination.
So that's my long list of Lush lemmings at the moment. If I do get them, I'll certainly update with a review, on whether they met my expectations or not. If you've tried any of them and love to give your opinion, please do! All opinions and suggestions are very welcome. In the meantime, what's your Lush Lemmings?
